The Pittsburgh Steelers cut Byron Leftwich on Sunday due to a left knee injury. According to reports, the veteran quarterback was released from the teams 53 player roster so that the Steelers could dress an additional defensive lineman for their game today against the Titans.

This move leaves Byron open, and available as he’s not currently under contract. Byron is however expected to return to the team on Monday, barring any miraculous offers of course.
