Bills Vs Greenbay Week 2 NFL

Predictions

In the NFL, betting lines rarely get up to two touchdown spreads because of the competitiveness of the league. When this does happen, rookie bettors tend to shy away from such games because they don’t want to lay a ton of money on a game that could go either way thanks to a late back door field goal. As a general rule it is not a bad idea to stay away from the larger lines when playing the NFL but when you see a 14 point line in a game like the one featuring the Green Bay Packers and Buffalo Bills you better know you need to take the Packers and quick.

Green Bay is coming off an impressive 27-20 win over the Philadelphia Eagles in which quarterback Aaron Rodgers was decent if not dominant. Running back Brandon Jackson had to step in after starter Ryan Grant went down to an injury that will keep him out of this week’s contest. Jackson in turn rushed for 63 yards on 18 carries and caught two passes for another 12 yards. Look for Jackson to break out against a Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown to run for five yards a carry.

The Bills on the other hand are coming off a 15-10 loss in which a revamped offense looked absolutely anemic. Quarterback Trent Edwards completed just 18 of 34 passes for a paltry 139 yards. While he did throw one touchdown pass to Roscoe Parrish, Edwards spent the majority of the contest looking overmatched and out of his league, much the way he has his entire career. Quarterback isn’t even the most troublesome aspect of a weak Bills offense. That title belongs to a stable of running backs who were supposed to lead Buffalo back to the playoff promise land. Fred Jackson, Marshawn Lynch and much hyped rookie CJ Spiller were supposed to be a three headed monster the likes of which the NFL hasn’t seen for decades. Instead the trio combined for 38 yards on 14 carries with Lynch having the longest run of the day at 15 yards.
