NFL Week 2 No Brainer – Cowboys V. Bears in Dallas

Predictions

Cowboys v. Bears in Week 2
If NFL rules for wide receivers catching touchdown passes were just a bit different, I would be writing about two 0-1 teams meeting up this weekend in Dallas. Instead however we are looking at the 1-0 Chicago Bears going up against the 0-1 Dallas Cowboys, who oh by the way managed to get a game winning touchdown late in the 4th quarter which was called back on a holding penalty. Both teams had very interesting ends to their week one match-ups, this week however I am prepared for something a bit different.

Last week in Chicago, #1 wide receiver Devin Hester never really got going, and managed just one catch. Surrounding players however such as Matt Forte managed to do quite well, which put the Bears in a position to the win the game down the stretch. This week however I do not think you will see as much of a struggle, for Hester to do well. You can call it instinct, or you can just call me stupid but I think the cowboys will have one hell of a time trying to contain this speed demon, after setting up the play action with Forte in the back field.

The Cowboys on the other hand seem to have all of the talent in the world with the likes of Tony Romo and Jason Witten. In my opinion however this team is weak at the knees especially when you consider their head coach is such a push over at times. Taking what I know, and what I think I know about this game and these teams I was happy to find out that the spread is set at the Cowboys – 7 for this upcoming matchup.

Now you can call me crazy, but to me the Cowboys do not deserve the hype. Watching them play last week was like watching a blooper reel. They might have the billion dollar stadium, a flashy owner, and a QB who dates celebrities, but what has this team done to earn NFL fan’s respect? The answer is nothing. That being said, if Jay Cutler can manage to have a solid performance, I think the Bears will end up winning this game by about six points. Surely nothing is guaranteed in the world of sports forecasting, but every now and then you have to go out on a limb for something, and this is it for me.

Ill take the Bears in this game and would advise you to do the same!
